any one ever cut down a 4 groove pulley to make it a 2 groove?

Yeah, but why not find the right part? There are a few in the mechanical parts section.

Anything's possible, where there's a will there's a way.
If you got more time and tools than money go for it..

It also depends on the size of the 4 Pulleys. You notice the right one had 2 different sizes and I’ve noticed some of the 4 groove pulleys are all the same size and could possibly cause issues.
