Cylinder head dowel pins

I haven't seen these mentioned on here. I remember in my direction connection catalog that they were offered in a 0.015" and 0.030" offset. Has anybody used them? Are they a good idea?

That would be to correct intake manifold misalignments from too much Milling by bringing each head inward to the valley or some kind of odd chamber alignment issue or something like that you don't just use them for no reason and no they do not offer a performance gain.
