D4B DC mods like the LD340 DC mods?

Go to a RPM instead and then add a spacer for more plenum if need be.
65 273 so it's got the weird angled intake bolts. I was originally cooking up a swirl port head/340 iron intake I have but decided to keep this thing OG with the weird bolt angle and points and all.
Plan for now is stock 9:1 pistons and re-cammed for a weird angled D4B. 3.21 gear.

How about a new AVS2 800 cfm with the D4B and a Racer Brown cam suited to the stock piston and 4 bbl automatic, 3.21 gear? I guess I'll ask Jim. I almost called today but I was driving and didn't remember till after 5pm Eastern.
The 19129 is factory refurbished and only $400 when they're available. I liked the 500 cfm AVS2 on a 318 smog motor I had.
AS far as the cam goes I'm looking to make the most of the stock compression. I get good gas here, real gas $2.95/gal. for 91. I just want this thing to be an average engine. Good to excellent fuel mileage. Mild street. Good vacuum. Easy on valvetrain. A cam that takes advantage of the Mopae lifter too.
I'd go 500 to 650 with an AVS2 or if you can find a good 750 TQ. 800 cfm is a little crazy on a 273. You have a 630 cfm 69 AVS right? Should work great on that manifold. The TQ works because it has small primaries and an adjustable secondary air valve.

I still have the 500 cam AVS2. I can use it until the AVS is rebuilt.

Talk about a weird combination. Hotroddave40 back in the day had a purpose built 318 in his '69 notchback. I forget the compression and overbore. (First 318 cracked the cylinder wall.) 850TQ, 273 2bbl cam, Magnum heads, (5.3 or 5.9? no idea) headers with no mufflers, pipes exiting the rear, LD340, and highway gears 2:??. E85 He was stomping 5.0's on the streets of Nashville. Beautiful car.

It got 29.5mpg on the highway. A true Mopar Mad Scientist. I wonder how Dave is doing out in Montana now?
