I have a 81 D200 with a DANA 60, the wheel bearing nut is a nylock single nut versus the old two nuts and a lock ring, could someone give me a wheel bearing nut torque spec? I would guess you tighten it to like 150' lb, spin the hub assy., back the nut off then retorque to a very low spec. but, not sure what that spec. would be.

Thank You!

I have never done wheel bearings like that to 150 ft lbs, bearings would die at 90 ft, and probably not move at that or beyond.

Usually you would go to around 50 ft, spin it to seat it and then back it off accordingly to have the right load on the bearing, which could be 40 ft lbs on the nut or 35 ft lbs

I adjust them as loose as possible without and play. In other words zero play , zero preload, cold. Don't forget the lock stake.
