dana 60

I found a Dana 60 and want to find some who's put one in thier a boby. The unit has been narrowed to 54" drum to drum. My car is a 67 notch back cuda, my question will it fit as is, I'am putting Mopar Performance spring relocator kit in. At 54" still looks too big. I don't want to pay big bucks and have to cut anyway?

54" sounds similar to a stock b-body width. my hotrod has one in, it's a complete mark williams. i just could not and didn't have the money to cut it down. i did the mini tub thing and used a 9" wide rim with 7" of backspace. doesn't look all that bad and works just fine. check out my garage pic if you'd like.

At 54" drum to drum it is narrower that a stock a-body 8 3/4 at 57" drum to drum. The 51.4" measure is from housing flange to housing flange. The axles alone are about 27.5" which ends up being 55" without the space between the axles.
