Dart rear quarter panel DART letters. Standard on 67/68 GT’s?

When I pull up images no rear lettering on GTS or Hemi versions. Very few Darts in 67 or 68 either GT or maybe even none on base Darts. Was it aesthetics to remove them after they decided to repaint the car.? I was wanting to see examples with the Dart lettering with the rear stripe.

I know my 68 GT has its original lettering. I don’t think many have survived with them. I was just surprised with all the images without the lettering.

That is correct. Just the GTS model got a stripe if ordered. In 68 there were two versions, the well known bumble bee or a longitudinal stripe. The stripe and dart letters would clash so no go.
