Now I'm finally on my way. The car is painted and the chrome is getting back in place.
The interior will go back as soon as I have cleaned it up.

I'll keep you posted

Looks good...what color is it? Kinda hard to tell, but it really looks like its coming along.:thumrigh:

It's light yellow with clear coat on. This color first came in 1966 but was a spring option for the HiPo Darts for 1965.

Now the trunkarea starts go get back in shape. Still looking for tools. Did the A-bodies came out with orginal tools from the factory?

After this section is done the convetrible pump, hoses and cylinders are on the agenda!

No tools, just a bumper jack and a tire iron!

Dig the color, its in my top 5 of colors choices for my 64.....this week. Your car is coming along very nicely. Is the color called light yellow or is it called butternut yellow? Im not sure but Mopar Muscle had a charger 500 painted this color and they were calling it butternut yellow, however, ive seen that name for a yellow given to GM cars.
They almost look the same. What do you think?

In 65 that color (coded 881) was called IIRC Daffodil Yellow. My 65 Dart GT convertible (slant 6 April production date) is also that color. Had a 69 Charger that was a yellowish-cream and they are definitely not the same colors. Seeing your Dart in paint is gonna make me get off my butt and get cranking on my Dart.

The paint name for the 67 Vette pictured is Sunfire Yellow in case you're interested in duplicating it. In 1965, the Vette color was Goldwood Yellow, and THAT was a beautiful yellow!

Nice Dart you have there. I absolutely LOVE the Cragar's!

According to Chrysler the yellow paint was a spring special color. But the Dartchargers came from Sept 1, -64 in this color!!!!! All the paintsheets that were availible hasn't got an 8 in it. Stop's with 7. So therefor I haven't seen anything about the color from any of Chryslers paintsupplier.

My car has paintcode 999. They also had code 881. They called it light yellow.

Dodgenut64, I like the pictures! I know Mopar had it but didn't know about Chebby! I think your -64 would be loloking good in that color. And in the same time it's odd. Haven't seen a Mopar A-body in this color except for the Dartchargers.

The Cragars look beautiful but they are tuff to find, the size is 13x6!

I do like this yellow, but im nowhere near ready for paint so i have awhile to decide. That said, Im too chicken to commit to one color just yet.

Ive also seen a color like this on a rustang.

The restoration goes on. Now the orginal exhaustsystem is in place and the taillights are there. The interior is waiting for the seat covers, seat cushion and the instrument panel. The rest of the parts are ready so now there's only to wait.
