I plan on installing a dash pad cover on the Scamp. Does my existing dash pad need to be removed to do this? Or can I install new pad cover while it is in place, just finished re wiring dash with new gauges and I don't really want to take everything out again.

Generally the covers go over your existing pad and vinyl then secure down with a silicone based adhesive.
You want to take a small grinder or mototool and smooth down and high spots first though, so it lays down well.

After that use a window shade to keep it from warping in the sun if it's hot like here in AZ or it'll warp in no time.

That's great! I see Classic sells one for like $65 that is ABS. I was hoping to do this without removing existing pad.
