Decals wax

It it OK to wax my car before I apply side stripe decals? Or does it matter?

Do not allow wax under any decal. It will cause you many problems. I don't even wax my decals after they have been applied either.

That is what I thought.Buff the car with compound apply the side stripes and then wax.

You actually want to use a Wax and Grease Remover before you apply the decals.

The car has not had wax on it in 20 years.But I am buffing it out.

You can buff it,then clean the area with rubbing alcool where you are installing the stripe. I uses 50/50 water n alcool. If the stripe is a Matt finish, do not apply wax on them. If they are gloss you can apply wax on them.
