As in out tomorrow in the cold, getting the gear and tools and trailer hooked up. Found this boat up in Elk, WA. About ?? 50?? or so miles one way The boat is likely junk and will be yet another gets sawed up and off to the dump. That will be no fun in cold weather and my ribs still a problem. Unknown what the situation is on the Chrysler 45hp, he claims "it ran 5 years ago" The big draw here is the jack plate, which is electric/ hydraulic. (Power tilt/ trim, not power jack) Those things are expensive, well over 1k new. Not sure what model this is, but since it is power and not manual, "it ain't cheap."

"Don't worry" I plan to take this REAL easy, spend all the time I need tomorrow getting things loaded, and then go up there Mon-Tues. The plan is to winch it up onto the trailer backwards. No big deal. Been here before LOLOL

That could be a score. Man everytime I see you doin somethin like this now, I wish I was there to go with you. Be careful and take it real easy man. Good luck!

...............Sigh............. Sorry to let you guys down. This is not what I thought. It is described in the ad as a "power lift" but it is not. This company makes two different powered engine mounts. The power jack plate (lift) adjusts the HEIGHT of the engine which is what I thought this was. This device is a power trim/ tilt. Hell I can buy one new almost, for the price of this, not counting going there and back, and dealing with the mess.

It was mis-described but I doubt the seller appreciates the mistake.

Bummer. 40 horse and power trim would be a kick in a boat like that.

I think I could even build one If it was just one factor I'd still be interested.........a bit cheaper, or closer, but that old Chrysler is long shaft and rather have short shaft, and on and on.

oh well. It won't be the last one. lol

LOL. Got to wonder how many of those did a "engine down" landing
