Demon/Duster trunk lid. Ridge/no ridge?

I knew this at one time.....I'm sure it's been asked here plenty.
What cars are correct for the trunk lid with the ridge, and which ones use the "no ridge"?

I believe 70 and the early part of 71 had no ridge. I think some of the late build 71s came with ridges.

I know a May 71 built Duster with ridge, my March built Duster has none....

so why did they add the ridge anyways? strength or just styling?

Strength.
Without the ridge the trunk lid had a structural problem and deformed when shutting.

So my 72 Demon has a ridge. Good, I have the correct trunk lid.
