Demon Gas Cap HELP!

Hi all,
I have a '71 Demon, built in October 1970 in LA. It has that extra vent tube in the trunk. Fender tag has N95 on it which I believe says that is a CA emissions car. Anyway, my gas cap does not fit. It is loose. It seems the prongs need to be closer to the gasket. What type of gas cap will fit my car? Any help is greatly appreciated.

71 is a one year only gas cap for your Demon. Here's a pic

Cool thanks a lot for the info. I heard the Stant 10726 cap will work on it. Have you heard anything about that?

The cap you need fits only '70 California and early '71 50-state/Canada cars. It is a very difficult cap to find these days. I'm not aware of the 10726 Stant cap fitting or not fitting.

You may find it easier overall to swap in a '72-up fuel filler neck.
