Hello to all, new to the site. I have a 71 demon, has the flat hood. I bought a original duel snorkel 72 scoop, which I love the looks of with the sizzler stripe, but I'm having a hard time deciding on putting it on or going with the 71 twin scoops, what do y'all think?
 
To me, i like the look of the dual scoops on the '71 Demons.
That being said, i have a '71 Sizzler and it will probably get the Snorkel Scoop on an original '72 Demon 340 hood with the factory holes etc. that i have already............
 
Hello, I am in the same boat. I have a 71 which came with the dual scooped hood but currently has an original 72 hood with center dual scoop. I would love to find a local trade of a 72 hood for a 71 hood.

You have an awesome car, with great history. I live in southern Kentucky, I'm like you wish someone was closer to trade. There's a twin scooped hood for sale on Craig's list not far from me in crossvile Tennessee.
 
I put a oval air cleaner on mine yesterday, having a hard time finding a six pack filter, I'm looking for the one with the screen with holes like original.

Thanks Mopar-Mitch. I will be in Shepardsville, KY in the second weekend in October for Knob Creek MSGS. But that is a while from now.
 
I have a 71 Demon as well... with a snorkel hood... same as you 71GSSDemon. I prefer the dual scoops. Were all 1971 Dodge Demon's equipped with dual scoops vs. snorkel scoop?
 
It is my understanding the twin wide scoops was a 1971 option whereas the snorkel style dual scoop was a 1972 option. Could be wrong though.
 
Mopar Mitch go with your gut. If you like the dual snorkle better than the twin scoops go with it. Otherwise, you'll regret it!
