What exactly can it do? Which model do you need? Can it disable certain functions to cut off check engine light? Plan on doing a swap soon but my ecm is stock and will need to disable some functions.

I believe you will need the factory service tool to disable some of the features. You can rent a factory service tool for a couple hundred dollars per week, or send the ECU to Hotwire for a few hundred.

Choice is yours.

What year/model computer do you have? 2005 Ram computers are the easiest and best. Hotwireauto.com will supply a used 2005 computer with the programming you need for $300. New for $700.
I have the diablosport Intune (I-1000). I am not sure what it really does yet either, or if I even need it unless I do a cam swap.

How can you tell the year? I believe its a 04. It has aluminum valve covers and 4 plugs on computer. It was out of the truck when I got it.

Is there a VIN on the computer? If so, the 10th digit is the year, 3 is 2003, 4 is 2004, 5 is 2005, etc. A is 2010, B is 2011, C is 2012, and so on.

By the way, I had my computer sent out and re-tuned for everything I needed, so I don't think I am really going to do a cam swap or change the fuel settings at all. So I have a Diablosport Intune I-1000, unlocked for $250 (extra $5 if using paypal) shipped to your door.
