I decided to tackle trying to recover my headliner today. I figured if it didn't work out I was gonna have to buy another one anyway.

The board was pretty brittle but not as bad as it could have been. I had to cheat to get it out...cut it at the rear fold. Then duct taped it back together before covering.

It's back in the car now and I just need to dye the interior panels and replace them. It's not professional but it will do me.

Did the package tray too. Vinyl was from a discount fabric shop here...9 yards was 20 bucks. Plus two cans of Permatex spray adhesive.

If the rest of the panels don't give me fits....I got lucky.

Thanks...only did this once before. This one did turn out pretty well. I like working with the interior better than my Firebird for sure.

I seen this thread "Did my headliner today" and knew someone got busy:toothy10:.
Nice job:cheers: and I bet you are glad it is behind you.
Head liners are scary sometimes :-D

That looks really good and cheaper than buying new. That is half the battle though, is having a half decent headliner to start with.
Well done.
