Hey guys,
Got a pair of Dillinger A Arms for Christmas. While installing them, I noticed that the forward tube will touch the Arm bracket when the arm travels down. Its a little hard to describe so heres a pic. My question is if I whack off the corner of this bracket, will it affect the integrity or strength of the front suspension?
Thanks,
Martin

That's a pretty common problem with tubular UCA's. You can clearance the UCA mount without causing any problems, just don't get too crazy with the grinder.

Thanks Guys,
Just wanted to get your input and have a good feeling before I started cutting.
Thanks again,
Martin

yes trim the bracket a little. I had to do the same with my RMS uppers. I just cut diagonally from the upper left in your picture down to the right. just enough to clear the arm. this way there is still I triangulated piece for rigidity. it may sound stupid to some but it helps me sleep at night.

I wish this post was here 2 weeks ago. My 69 doesn't have those tabs on the frame, so I didn't have that problem before with my last tube arms . I just bolted the arms up on my 75, and was perplexed at why the torsion bar adjustment was so limited, and the car leaned like mad when I pushed it over an incline in my driveway. It started to snow, and for 2 weeks I went paranoid. I had to shoot the neighbors, steal their food, board up all my windows, and wait by my driveway for the gremlins to come back, and mess with my suspension. Now you guys tell me I was mistaken. Cool, no harm, no foul.
