i have 69 dart and 73 front disc brakes can the front mount calipers be switch to opposite side for the caliper be mounted to the rear on the front end and if so any problems

I did it on my 69 but you have to switch the spindles too. I've read where this is not a good idea and the handling will be bad but I haven't had a problem.
 
The spindles are symmetrical, doesn't matter if they mounted for the calipers towards front or rear.

From what I understand the main issue (or at least one main issue) is making sure that the soft lines don't crimp bind, move, rub or get in the way of something.

F-body brake lines work well for this, once you remove the metal bracket from them.
 
Is there any advantage to be gained by this swap? If not, why do it?

all i did was install shorter links so they cleared the caliper this was a 71 drum to73 disc. older may be differant.als
