Been cleaning and blasting small parts. When I blasted the paint off of the distributor hold down, it appears that it is copper plated underneath the paint. Are they all like this? The copper color would not blast off.

I was going to see if I could save the battery tray, but it looks to be almsot beyone saving, and I have looked in the catalogs and online and my battery tray is not shaped the same as pictured in the catalog, leading me to one of two conclusions, first that they are using a stock photo(the same photo for all battery trays, regardless of model) or second that this is an aftermarket tray, that in the past replaced the stock tray. I'm leaning towards the second.

Anybody have a picture of a 67 Dodge Dart battery tray.

Thanks

I am leaning the second why myself, Look at all the optional holes for mounting
I think most tray's have maybe three holes in it .

I've got an old tray here just like that one. It was also in a 68. I dont think it was original. The one bolt in it wasn't original.

The top left of the photo shows the aftermarket battery tray for my 67 Barracuda after blast & powdercoat. I think it was a year one unit. I PC the support bracket for it as well.

I'd be willing to bet that distributor hold down was chromed at some point in its lifetime. What PSI did you blast that stuff at? Shoot it at about 90 / 100 and it WILL come off ... so will the nickel underneath it.
