Ditch the granny body trim pieces?

Should I ditch the body panel trim pieces on my 66 Signet Convertible? My thoughts are to fill the trim holes and keep the trim around just in case I think of putting them back on. All the trim is in descent shape except for one rear quarter piece. I have not been able to find a descent replacement in the last year. Also the wheel lip trim pieces are not in the greatest shape either and I can't remember if Layson's makes them for the 66 Valiant.

Do you guys think the trim makes the car look like a granny car with all the extra trim?

I like the 66 Signet trim, but if I had one I would change a few pieces to Barracuda pieces (including the dash assembly).
