Seems these have to sit up at a angle when stationed. They were in trunk when I got the car so I just put them on there. New windshield soon so I would prefer to tidy it up a bit. Could I see some of your set ups please?

Thanks

I did try that a while back and still sits at a angle and hits weather stripping barely, linkage seems solid inside. Maybe that is normal. A picture of a couple others will be nice. Here is a picture with passenger moved down.

What the Professor said -- they are adjustable in tiny increments by the teeth on the shafts. Just keep moving both of them by the same amount until they park correctly. It's fiddly but doable. It will help you evaluate the positions accurately if you do it with the windshield wet.

I found this picture online, these lay nice, no matter how I adjust mine they are not near like these. Maybe I can tweak the arms some.
Funny how when you look online even at some high dollar cars there all over the place.

Maybe the wrong arms. What is the number on them, and how long are they from center of post to the end of the hook?

IIRC, There should be a 15 or 16 stamped into the bar there somewhere. Maybe a letter along with it. The 2dr HT's and convertibles had a slightly shorter arm than the sedans due to the shorter windshield. The glass angle was slightly different too. It's also possible that your arms are off another model altogether. If someone has a 2dr HT about that year, they may be able to measure theirs to compare it with yours.

I take it back. I just looked it up and it shows all the body styles used the same arm. That's weird as I swear I've seen some different length ones and they were stamped accordingly....Maybe yours is off a different model, or, has been bent for some reason.

The FSM does show a different part number for a '67 model than the '68-9, although I can't imagine why since they use the same windshield and cowl. Wiper pivots are listed as a different part too....maybe that is why?

67s have the anti lift wing on them.
