Buddy of mine wants to list a couple heads that haven’t be produced in years. We have zero ideas on what they would sell for.

Usually see those questions pop- up in the General Discussion or the Mopar General Discussion threads ????

With as much info as he knows.

No we don't but there are plenty of them. The bad thing is that they always end up getting taken down because they turn into a sale thread. There are always member that either want the parts or want to steal them before the seller knows what they are really worth. Not fair to the seller and damn sure isn't fair to the other sellers that play by the rules and start a sale thread. With the internet you should be able to find some sale info about them if you just do your homework.

@pittsburghracer
I find it bull crap that there are no WIW discussions.
Homework huh?
Wish it was that easy. Instead of allowing things to sort themselves out let's just not let people ask the question. In the name of fairness.

I'm going to a yard with 300 cars Saturday and have no idea what to offer for some A bodies on the lot. Nor do I think they will be worth picking up to try to sale here or part out here. Lose to the hobby.
With no value in mind, the A bodies will just sit there and do nothing except rot. 1975 and 1971

Just my opinion. Joey and his mods have the most successful mopar websites so what do I know? Nor does my opinion mean anything here or there.

ebodies.org has a WIW and it doesn't go to crap when asked.

Browsing through the various mopar boards, the membership crossover is substantial so I would just use the Moparts board for WIW. As you are quite aware, there are the haters of it but it is what is (or ain't). I get a kick out of seeing the same topic between here, FABO, Moparts, et al. I'm sure that I'll get this :mob: for my post :)

I search moparts, ebay, craigslist for ballpark prices. But recently I had a guy give me a set of aluminum welded valve covers for a 14x7 BB steel rim. Oddball rim of no use to me, I was going to send it to junkyard for 5 bucks.

Some MODS….. not the one present…. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE to wack threads of this type. Then scold the poster and threaten them.

The WIW thread will indeed take a turn from someone stating interest in purchasing the item publicly which is the problem.

I find it amazing that someone is doing research on the item AND STATES IT, only to be scolded by some MODS.

I think the best was a certain MOD even said, do your homework on their worth and it was even stated in the first few lines that the OE poster was doing just that very thing.

What can I say…… some just LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE to be A BMOC (Big Man On Campus) to Waco threads and scold members doing homework.

Where else to do homework or better than right here?

WTF?

I have a few friends that go on car sites but rarely post. So I end up posting their stuff for them or at least helping research their stuff and finding fair prices. I make nothing nor want anything to help them. If I feel their prices are out of bounds I usually don’t waste my time as it does take time. If you really want to sell something price it fairly and it goes pretty fast.

Unfortunately pricing is always subjective.
There is "new" and then every conceivable different definition of "used".
Everything is always in good condition until you see it in person.
One person's good is another person's C*ap.
The better answer is what is it worth to you ? No Kelly Blue Book to go by.
