I corresponded with a guy some time ago but need his info again. He collects documentation, mainly on hemi cars maybe, and has a database or something where guys can contact him and he sends the stuff at no-cost to them. I have some cool 1970/71 sales documents from a dealership I worked at and it's time for me to let them go. Anybody know who I'm talking about?

Could it be me?

I am not just a 'hemi' guy, but the rest fits, I love them all from /6 on up.

I operate the 'Found' section at The 1970 Hamtramck Registry - Found Section

There are over 8000 items still waiting to be claimed from 1932-1979.

People that donate items are also alerted when & if any item they donate is matched up.

I collect Hemi info and pass it on to Joe Sica. he is not on here but I forward VIN's , photos and he constantly updates his database. He is in Wethersfield, CT., my town

Yeah, I-think I remember Alaska. The stuff I have is certainly not exclusively Hamtramck, maybe even none of it. Do you still want it? It is hand-typed new and used car sales ledgers (?) from the dealership. Cool stuff showing purchase price, options, cars that were traded-in for the deal, etc. Anything from 318 Fury's to Hemi Roadrunners. CONNECTICUT GUYS THIS IS FROM THE FORMER RISKO CHRYSLER IN OLD SAYBROOK. IF YOU KNOW ANYONE WHO BOUGHT A CAR THERE AROUND 1970 LET ME KNOW.

The site name is 1970 year & plant specific, but the 'Found' section spans multiple decades & other assembly plants also.

I would love to see what you have, I do have a soft spot for 318 cars. :)

My snail mail address in PA is on the site if you click the 'contact' button in the left menu . Home page at The 1970 Hamtramck Registry Home Page

Thank you!
Barry

The invoice book arrived today!

Due to the large number of records to go through & sort, I'll try to have the VINs uploaded over the summer so people can start searching the site for their own VINs & hopefully claim some of these.

If any are claimed & will email you to let you know.

From myself & everyone else in the hobby hoping that a dealership record for their car surfaces someday - Thank You!
