Dodge 360 engine

I"m just curious if a 1988 360 would be a magnum engine or the LA type, its out of a roll off truck.

i dont think so... i think magnums came out in 91

that would be a LA motor and i think it would still be a flat tappet motor but not sure

It is an LA, the Magnum 360 didn't come out until '93. It could be a roller lifter style motor. I have an '88 360 out of a van that has the provisions for a roller lifter but has a flat tappet cam in it.
