What if Dodge produced their own monster sized big block like Chevy's 502? Man that would be intense.

They do, the 528 Hemi with 610 Hp.

First they need a block that is a: cast properly as to accept the larger bores required; and b: found a shop that could assemble such a monster wihtout having to tear them down prior to fire startup to make sure things are good.

Then it would be kick azz....

Only 610hp and 528 inches, American Muscle car says the stock 426 Hemi dynos to 800hp, LOL

Chuck

That doesn't cost $5000 for just the block.

Indy makes a 500 cubic inch motor that puts out 800 horse with no power adders...Their "cheap" 500 inch motor makes 605 horse no power adders either. And doing a cost comparison of $/hp, they are not any more expensive the the GM stuff.

Except Indy's engiens rarely make what they advertise. The $9500 "500hp B wedge" doesnt make even 80% of the claims. It can be far exceeded power wise for $2-2500 less by any decent builder.

Adam, I agree...We're crossing our fingers for the 440Source deals...

Interesting, very interesting indeed. Why did a 600CI never come about? I know it may sound absurd but why not? (Edit due to being sleepy and making a typo)
