Hello Gentlemen. I'm new to this so please be patient with my forum/posting skills. I'm going to try and post the process of my car as it evolves.

This car from Oklahoma 10 years ago and had been moved in and out of the barn for a few years. The last few it was outside and it started to deteriorate very fast. I knew if I didn't start it soon it would be a mess. Here it sits on my home made rotisserie just after dissasembly

stripping the undercoating was a chore to say the least. combination of heat and sharp putty knife, paint stripper then power wash.

Nick power washing paint stripper/undercoating off

Cooked in lasercut frame connectors from Mancini. Torque Boxes and braces from USCARTOOL. Body brought to bare steel then multiple coats of PPG epoxy primer to seal things up.

Trimmed and rolled the wheel opening lips. Mocked up some L60's from my other car. Took measurements for custom built Moser housing.

Car had some pinholes in front floor pans from the last few years in the weather. I sectioned them out cleaned and prepped surfaces with Speis Red/brown weld through primer. Cooked in floor pans. Took a template from my original 340 Duster for the opening for the 4-speed hump. Hate to say it but that ching-chang AMD hump fit like a glove.

Don't criticize my welds. I really wanted to cook in those frame connectors.

Beefed up pinion support area with 3/16" steel plate. I intend to abuse this area thoroughly. Cleaned and prepped bottom for multiple coats of epoxy sealer.

custom made housing.
Moved the springs in with offset shackles and hangers. Took a few inches of housing ends and relocated perch's so I could run deep offset wheels.
I didn't want to chop into these pretty frame rails. Hope I can fit my Piecrust's.
Blueprinted 3:91 ,489 case, full ARP best of the best in there, almost $1400
Moser fabricated axles w/ sealed bearings
Big car front brakes on late A-body spindles
Rear brakes were suppose to be 11" big car but the wont work. Backing plate hits shock plates. I'm pissed, only solution if I want parking brakes is $900+ wildwood setup. Anyone need fully restored 11" brakes? Go figure both my sixpack cars have 10" rears

next phase is Engine compartment bracing and paint. I just need to get my *** off this computer

I guess I should of done this first, the car from the factory as:

1967 Dart 270 sedan
A4 silver w/ Buffed paint option
273 w/ A/C
No vinyl top
Tinted glass
White walls

This will be a good build to follow. Nice work there!

The scope of this project is to build this car pretty much the way it was from the factory but with period speed parts and modifications. I massaged rear openings slightly and had a housing fabbed to tuck some Mickey Thompson L60's on 15x8.5 Mag wheels. 14" mags in front w/ white walls. Keeping original 270 interior with the few splits in bench. 4-speed of course. Dash was redone by PCG and looks fantastic. I bought a GTS hood and we'll see how it looks. I may swap it out, still on the fence.

Cool build and nice work. I have a '70 Dart shell I want to do a road ralley type build on when I shift one of my other cars.

Anyone have any shock recommendations? I was looking at the QA1 R series for the front didn't know if anyone has any feedback on them. Thanks guys
