Hey all. I am in need to new bushings for my doors. Does anyone know a part number? Can I get them from a local parts store, you think?
Thanks all for any help.

Dont know about part stores. Plenty on ebay though. None come with instructions. Ask questions if you have any. Good luck

Thanks Red. I am ready to paint the jambs on the car but need to rebuild the hinge first.

There was a member on here just about two weeks ago offering hinge rebuilds, you might want to search it if you haven't already.

Went to the parts store yesterday and got the kit. Now I just need to figure out, Do I drill out both piecies of the hinge? With the length of the bushings, it looks like they go all the way through both parts. Does anyone have a pic of their rebuilt door hinges?

Only one half of the hinge is drilled for the bushing

Don't drill the bottom hing for bushings!!!!! you will make to to weak which could eventually lead to a failure.

Take a look here

We are doing a 69 Charger. The kit was loose with the new pin and bushing, the original pin works good. (top). Bottom- useless parts.

The lower, we figured to drill out, and install modified bushing. No? Bracket wallered out. Weld it, and try to re-drill through that hard weld?

69 charger is the same lower hinge as an A body
Don't put bushings in the lowers your just asking for trouble.

Don't forget to fix the star wheels and spring while your at it our you just wasting your time by only fixing half the problem.

Easiest way to do it is just send them to me, I have been doing this for a while and believe me I messed up a few cores figuring all the techniques out.

OK Ross. I will talk to my money advisor. And tell her if I dont send them to you I could fall out my door:)
