Door Locks

Door lock on a 73 duster.
Ok so when I bought my car I have a key for the Ignition and for the passenger door. I also had another key for the truck. I have not had a key for the driver’s side. Can I switch the passenger side and driver side door locks?

yep same lock. make sure the key works in it lol

You can also remove both locks and work on the one that doesn't work to make it match the other. Mark the good one so you don't get them mixed up before you start. Once you've got the good one out, remove the piece that holds all the tumblers and springs in. Be very carefull while removing them from the lock and make sure you keep them in the same order they were in. Now you can open the one that isn't working and swap the tumblers around to match the good one until it works. It's tedious work, but it can be done. If you can't get it to work with all the tumblers in, you can use it with only 3 tumblers instead; whatever gets it to work.
