Double check - Reverse light

73, Duster. 4 Speed

I traced one black wire from my reverse light that comes out the firewall above the MC. I have it connected to my 4 speed transmission wiring. I noticed another plug of the same type with two black wires to the left of it. I’m not sure what those are for, from my wiring diagram I downloaded. Just want to make sure I have this hooked up correctly.

there are waaaaay too many black wires parked in that area.

Ya, the PO painted everything black. Good times. Going to try some lacquer thinner.

Sorry for the late reply, this is what I have figured out so far.

Not sure if my wiper motor is a 2 or 4 speed based on my photo. I read the 3 speeds have all the wiring on the inside or internally?

There is still a connector with two black wires. That can’t be for my reverse light because I already have that hooked up through the bulkhead above my MC. Top photo.

Yes I believe that is a two speed wiper motor.

As for that 2-pole connector; if one of them is Violet, then it may be for the automatic....... IIRC
