Kind of a longshot. But, I’m looking for a pair of Doug’s D453 ceramic coated headers. Looking to see if I can buy a set off hand or slightly used to try and save some cash as they are about $1k new. I’m located in monroe NC, will drive a little bit to pick them up as shipping would more than likely cost a decent amount.

If you look on the discount threads here someone posted a$100 off deal on Doug’s headers.

would you happen to have a link? I couldn’t seem to find it
Check Autozone.com to see if it shows up for you. They currently have their 20% off ship to home orders. That ends up being about $181 off a brand new set. If you don't see it, put add them to your art to purchase and use code FALL2024 and see if it works. I can see it when I look right now.

Tried this earlier. The headers are excluded from the discount which sucks because this method used to work in the past :(

@Car Nut originally posted this and said that it was on the Summit Racing site. Good luck!

Evan.....I don't know if @MICHAEL A SCUDDER ever sold his D453's or not? He is in Greensboro. He had the headers at Rockingham last year, and they are NICE. Good luck in your search.

Darn it. That was a good way to get them before.

Someone mentioned the $100 rebate. I just checked Summit and they are in stock and the rebate info is listed there. You could probably use a ten percent coupon from Summit, free shipping, and then also get the rebate back on them. That is something like $760 to your door, brand new, after coupon and rebate.
Also, just to make sure you know, they do have a stainless version now.

I called summit/jegs. The cheapest they’d do is $900 shipped. And after the rebate it would be $800. I saw the stainless ones, I’m thinking of going with the ceramic ones since they’ll put off less heat in my engine bay

Right. But use a Summit coupon for ten percent off. That makes it $809 shipped, plus tax. I have a coupon I can give you. And @GTX JOHN may still have the coupons too.
Summit 10% Discount Coupon Available Again!

Be ready to grab your ankles... I reached out to Michael on them, and he wanted $950 shipped..
Headers were $450 raw and the Jet Hot coating was $850 so selling them $950 shipped makes me the one grabbing my ankles. By all means by the $700 set from summit with a painted on coating that will chip off and is no where near rated for 2000°. This same coating was used on a set of C6 ZR1 headers and you could lay your bare hands on the tubes 10-15 minutes after a Dyno pull.

Thank you for the mention. Still have them. They are very nice. Coated on both sides. 2000° black textured extreme on the outside, standard 1300° on the inside. No header manufacturer's std coating is rated for that.
