I have TTI ceramic coated headers on my 1969 Barracuda 340 that have been on the car for over 10 years. The ceramic coating has been getting worse and worse each year. I've been looking off and on for a stainless steel header that fits like the TTI. It now looks like Doug's makes a version of the small block D-453 A-body header in 304 stainless steel.

DOUG'S HEADERS - D453-SS

Doug's Headers D453-SS 304 Stainless Long Tube Header 68-74 Various Mopar 273-360 LA Motor 1 5/8" Primary 3" Collector

Anyone checked into these? Do they exist or is it a unicorn?

Summit Racing has them on sale, and then, if you can get a 10% off code, it lowers it even more.

AutoZone sells them, and they have a 20% off.

Both have free shipping.

I did a few years ago when I put the ceramic coated Doug’s on my 72’ Demon 340. At that time SS manifolds or headers were frowned upon because they seemed to crack at the welds. I went with the ceramic coated version and never looked back. My car is garaged and kept clean so they have not rusted one but.

I cant speak to the SS, but I was TTI distributor for a while, the rust issues killed TTI, and trying to get warranty across the border, I essentially gave big cash refunds OR replaced them with Doug's, - no charge, then fire saled used TTIs for cheap.
I have never regretted the change-over to Dougs, and haven't had a quality issue thru prob 15 sets over last 20 years.
I wouldn't hesitate on the quality record, but can't speak to SS.
Good Luck, keep us posted pls.

I bought hooker headers for my 71 duster with a la small block were horrible to get in with power steering are the dougs better?

Anybody get their hands on a set of these yet? I like the idea of stainless if you need to make a little clearance. No need to worry about the finish. I would think the installed fit should be as good as the standard D453.

Nice thing about the 453s is they fit just about ever model

Dodge Challenger (70-74) 273-360 Engine, Charger, R/T (66-72) 273-360 Engine, Coronet, Coronet Wagons (62-72) 273-360 Engine, Dart (67-72) 273-360 Engine, Demon (70-72) 273-360 Engine, Super Bee (68-72) 273-360 Engine, Plymouth Barracuda (67-74) 273-360 Engine, Belvedere (66-72) 273-360 Engine, Duster (70-72) 273-360 Engine, GTX (66-72) 273-360 Engine, Valiant (67-72) 273-360

I took the plunge and picked up a set from summit with 10% off. Hopefully they fit as good as they look. Only thing I notice is some tooling marks that put some protrusion in the tubes. I would think this is normal on the steel versions also.

Very nice .
I'd keep the bags on as long as possible, to just before fire up.
Hand prints often show after fire-up with Ceramics, even after wipe-down with brake clean.
Not sure about the SS .
fwiw .
