Dougs headers vs. patriot exhaust

I'm going to put a set of headers on my 360 which is going on a 71 dart swinger with power steering and a 727 trans. The Doug's headers say specifically that they won't work with a 727 on the column. These patriot exhaust headers seem very comparable to the Doug's, and say they work with my transmission. Anyone have any experience with the patriots? Or does anyone know how to make the Doug's work?? Thanks.

Where are you seeing that they won't work with a 727?

Funny that the catalog says they fit a Demon with a 727, but not a duster... OK... LOL

I've seen these on many cars with 727's. The catalog is wrong. One member even posted pics of them installed on his 71-72 Dart SB/727.

I just ordered a set of Doug's ...the parts store said that they "say they will not work with a 727 " but they will. No worries. About the Patriot's I don't know. But from what I,ve read here and from talking to local Mopar guys everyone says the same thing.... Tti, Doug's, or I think the Headman shorty headers. Other wise most A bodies have clearance issues with other headers.

TTI or Dougs for me. Just my opinion. A lot of the rest just don't fit well

i've never seen any feeback on the patriot headers.

I've got a set of Patriots for my 72 Dart Swinger 318/904 with air and steer but the engine ain't in yet so can't comment.
When it does go together I'll see if I can find this thread again and post the results.
