I just picked up a set of Dougs headers for my 63 Dart.

Is there anyone out there that has them on their car that has power steering?

Thanks,
Mike

You may want to ask daves66valient. He has experience with Dougs headers and early A bodies. Good luck.

I didn't know Dougs made slant 6 headers.

Or are you putting a V8 in your 1963 car?

Before I was going to install headers I just spaced the engine forward 3/4 of an inch. The cap just fit. I also fabbed up a new trans crossmember as I am using a push button 904 from a B body and it had a different trans mount.

Now I will have to move the engine back to use the headers so I will have to modify the firewall/wiper mount.

If I am successful I will post the results.

I'm in the same boat and breathlessly waiting to see your progress.

For much less work, use 1964-66 Early Abody 273 manifolds,
I used a copper exhaust gasket on the drivers side.

You might look into 1966 wiper motors that didn't protrude out into the firewall at all. I am going to do the same thing in my 68 Dart so I can put the Hemi engine in as far back as possible. Good Luck!
