Thanks all. With all the other projects I have going on, this truck will have to be put on the back burner for a while. We'll eventually get back to it, and the journey to this point has been a blast. Hopefully it will inspire the thought that it doesn't have to be a Road Runner, Charger, Duster, or 'Cuda nor does one have to pencil 10 grand into their budget to play around with something older and have a blast doing it!.
You are correct. A good head wind plays havoc on pickup trucks. I'm sure it would go over 100+ mph, and I will say I believe it would have got into the 12's also, even if barely. Not sure on the other carI watched your vid earlier tonight . Good job !
I do have 2 questions though ...
1. Your timeslip reads 13.08 1/4... 1.82 60 ft... but only 99 mph trap speed.
Does that seem odd ? I would have guessed around 105 mph....or a 1.6ish 60 ft.
2. Did the car that lost control break an axle ?
