Putting in an 833 4spd. car was a 727 auto will that driveshaft work? If not what do I look for length.

The yoke will work, but shaft won't. Length depends on rear end used and body style/year. Measure and post a wanted ad- they're out there. Or have one built to your spec.

Exactly. Tell us what rear end you are using, what the wheelbase of the car is, then we will give you a length as they are published. Just a body style of car will work too, like a 67 Barracuda, 71 Dart, etc...

70 340 swinger 8.75 rear 489 case does anyone know the right length I can measure once I get it together but was thinking it woe standard size. Looks like the one I have is probably a few inches short

Duster is 108 wheelbase Dart is 111 so it won't work. 8-3/4 4-speed in a 111 in wheelbase is 3" diameter and 51.53" long

Duster/Demon/Dart Sport WB was 108". Dart/Swinger/Scamp is 111". No go on the Duster shaft in your Swinger.

save your self the head ache of a 50 year old shaft and spring for a new one.your local shop will hook you up,or strange engineering will make you a good one shipped to your door
