Never seen Christie Brinkley and can't find Wally World! What's up with that?:wack:

But I see the Hollywood Xmas tree has a few spots open for another dish!

On the way seen this painted(?) area, some old logs laying around, and a big hole in the ground.

If you're heading back the way you came after your visit to CA, try to hit Antelope Canyon (Upper and Lower) by Page, AZ, and Monument Valley (AZ/UT border) - both worth a day (hire a 4x4/guide for half a day in Monument Valley)

Nice pix, for those of us who have "never been". Sure beats Chi-town this time of year!

Antelope canyon is amazing. You will fill all your storage taking photos there. Last I heard though it was difficult to get into. Monument valley was impressive as well.

Doing the tourist thing in the west completely would take a life time. So many amazing places to visit but I still like my roots in the foothills of Appalachia.

If you're heading back the way you came .........

Thank you all for the great suggestions. I'd really love to just roam the open areas awhile and see it all but reality is we're flying back to Chi. Leaving the car with my daughter for the "LA Quarter" college and internship while she is here.
There was a thread here titled "Drive It Like You Stole It" and that's what I see a lot of folks do here in LA. Overloaded with Joe and Joan racecar drivers, lol.:burnout: :burnout:The yellow light definitely means to floor it to some. Here I thought Chicago drivers were aggressive.#-o

Lol your lucky your not on the east coast out here yellow might as well be green and red well you just don't go when your I got turns green it more to tell you to check that everyone has actually stopped then you go. And the cops are just road works supervision specialists.

Did the south route. We contemplated it but the other was elected as weather was a bit questionable at the time per relatives in Littleton, CO.

Lol, I was being a smart a@@, it's in the CDB tune, Uneasy Rider.

Well, I think I'm gonna re-route my trip
I wonder if anybody'd think I'd flipped
If I went to LA via Omaha

No Bruce,
LoL, No Chebby here! But yes, the song crossed my mind when I read your post.

One of the favorites!
