I'm converting my 65 Barracuda to front disk brakes. I'm using an adjustable, proportional brake valve. Question (regarding the master cylinder) when routing my lines to the adjustable valve, what decides what reservoir is for the front brakes and back brakes? The new Dorman master cylinder has no front and back makings. The valve is marked front and rear in and out. I'm kind of light in this area, never gave much thought to which reservoir did what.

I always put the adjustable to the rear, then find a parking lot that is big enough to get up some speed and jam on the brakes and see what locks up the front or the rear then start adjusting the valve so they lock up together.

The back reservoir in the mc, is for the front brakes.
The front reservoir is for the back brakes.
The reservoir for the front brakes is larger because the front brakes wear quicker, using more fluid.
You may have a drum brake master cylinder pictured. If both reservoirs are the same size, it is for drum brakes. Either way, the back reservoir is for the fronts and the front reservoir is for the backs.
