Was 1970 the only year of Duster that the dual snorkel scoop was NOT an option?

They never were an option on a Duster from the factory.
A lot of cars had them dealer or self installed.
Too bad, they looked good...

AH OK, so just the raisin bran 2 scoops were OEM? Maybe that's what I'm thinking of. Were THEY ever an option on a 70?

The dual snorkel scoop was first offered as a factory option only on '72 Demons and continued only on Dart Sports in '73 and possibly '74. I bought one off of a confirmed '73 318 Dart Sport that had the hood stripe option with it.

Duster Twisters were the only dusters to receive scoops...

1970 Duster never had a performance hood option. They were only available with a flat factory hood on all models.

74 dart sport 360 had them too. Also 72 swinger special 340 cars.
my 74 sport 360 car Had Factory alpine white paint, black vynil top, with black hood treatment and scoop.

I had a dart years ago that had a burned 340 hood on it. I put twin scoops on it and swapped sides so they leaned outward to covere the warped hood when painted.

I had a triple black 74 Dart Sport 360 with the dual snorkel hood scoop from factory. Also had a triple black 75 Dart Sport 360 without the scoop.

An old Direct Connection book I have shows holes. But I wasn't sure if it was showing how it was, or what you should do. Thanks again guys! Gene.

In 1977-79 ish I went to Clearview Dodge and was going to order the 2 separate scoops like belong on a Duster. Then parts guys talked me into the single type scoop like used on Demon and Dart Sport. They did not use the one piece on those years Duster but had a factory part shaped to the 1970-71,72 hoods. I put a big hole ya gotta feed the beast of a 225ci engine

I used to talk with Fritz who owned 1st Place Auto Parts and he sent me a prototype Dart Sport one for fitment on a 1973-76 Hood. since he needed to do like factory and make 3 shapes one for early Duster, Demon, Dart Sport hood. My car never came with one or did it come with hood black out, but added it and holes for a mean look
