Has anyone tried the DUI distributor? If so, what do you think, good/bad?
Also, I have a used aluminum intake that I'm cleaning up for my 413, and noticed that it has a small threaded hole on the bottom side of it. Any idea what that is for?

dui have a hood clearance issue.they are very close to the hood.seen a guy have to notch the bracing on a big block roadrunner and almost hits hood on a small block 72 duster

I believe DUI has 2 types for small blocks. 1 is the HEI type with the large cap and coil. These have clearance problems on A Bodies. They also make a stock size unit with the control module mounted underneath in the back to eliminate the clearance problem. A call to them should clear up any space issues. Here is the link. See model at the bottom.

Here are 2 links I came across that talks about installing a Chevy style control unit on a Mopar - likely from this site in the past.

No comment....they get Pi**ed and send me nasty Email everytime I tell people what they are actually buying.

But really?....a GM distributor in your Mopar, I fail to see why anyone would want to do that?

GM stopped placing the coil in the distributer due to various problems.
Honda tried this for one year (92) and moved it right back out again for 93.
Enough said
