Duster console carpet

I am putting a factory console in my 76 duster and just purchased ACC carpet for it. I have read posts here about attaching the carpet with Velcro. Do I use the Velcro to attach the carpet to the console and floor carpet ? Or just attract it to the console ? Where can I get good Velcro? Any help or pics would be great !

Some people use contact cement. Velcro? How bout Jo-anns, or Michael's? Maybe Wally world or Dollar tree...

3M spray on adhesive contact cement. Use on vinyl tops. Console only and let it hang
