Duster fender emblems.......

'73 Duster....... missing the fender emblems when I got it.

Bought a pair of these emblems from another member (Thanks locomotion!) and I'm curious how they mount.

The studs on the back of the emblems don't have any grooves from trim nuts...... what holds these onto the fender?

I'm pretty sure the trim nuts cut their own groove when you bolt them on to the stud.

Didn't some of the fender emblems have some sort of nylon inserts in the fenders that the pins pushed into?

There is a small nylon sleeve that slides onto the emblem pins, then you pop the emblem into the holes on the fender. The sleeve is made with a small ridge at the top end that holds it in the holes on the fender. Hope this helps.
