has anyone here converted from the cardboard type to the fabric type? I have removed the cardboard type from my 72 duster...this is what I need to know..the front and rear teeth are there...I have a donor fabric 6 bow headliner from a 70 duster and i have put it in as a test fit...lines up nicely..NOW this is my problem...? There does not seem to be any "holes" to attach the "bows" to..what am I missing??? clips??? has anyone attempted this?ANY info...gladly welcomed...come on guys...help a brother out...

I am in the process of doing the same thing to my dart. Luckily, when I pulled the old cardboard headliner out, the clips were already installed for the headliner bows!

The clips fit into the slots in your roof rails. They are triangular in shape, and the bows fit into the triangular pocket. If that makes any sense.

There is a picture of them on this page.

do you have any pics? the headliner bows i have seem to fit into a hole in the body...they are not just curved ...

I'm having to replace the roof on the Demon that had a cardboard headliner remnant. The donor is a '70 Duster with a bow type headliner. The bows have a sharp bend at each end that allows it to fit into holes drilled into a flange that goes along the top of the glass. PM if you need pix & measures.

This is what the clip looks like...

And here is where you can get them cheap...

Edit: I see you have a 72 Duster, I have no idea what that takes. Sorry.
