Duster Hubcaps & Trim Rings?

Check out the (expired) eBay auction on this 1974 Duster. (<--not mine)


Check out the several photos of its trim rings & hubcaps.


Was that particular combo a common option for 1974?

I like it...just had never encountered it before? Was it factory?

(Have seen the caps, but not with the rings.)

I am not 100% sure on this, but here is what I think based on my experience....the trim rings were an add-on. As well the rims should have black. Somewhere in the early 70's they switched from painting the rims body color to black across the board.
