Duster Sport Mirror

I have a 1975 Plymouth Duster that has chrome sport mirrors. The passenger side mirror portion just flops around inside the housing. I've never messed with fixing mirror before. Can this mirror be fixed and if so how do I fix it?

I fixed one by putting a couple washers that just happened to be the right size in between the spring "fingers" and the pivot point.

Works great now.

I haven't messed with sport mirrors but I know you can get the regular type mirror glass out one time by soaking it in lacquer thinner. It'll loosen up the adhesive and you can get the mirror out without breaking it.
