Dustless blasting: whole car paint removal in 1 hour

-
I had my entire car done with this method last year. rust inhibitor in the water.

Straight into the both for sealer and primer within 48 hours.

NO warped panels.

Check out my pics. It did take about 8 hours to complete though.

What did it end up running you if you don't mine me asking?

Rolloc bristles (imagine a hard eraser that I have used to remove high-yield-80 stainless steel {& barnacles}-yet as soft as feather with a light touch on thin {EVEN ALUMINUM} metal) and an air compressor
-requires 15K-25K RPM's

this is thousands cheaper -no abrasive debris to clean up (eraser substrate)

No blaster, no moisture in your blasting media, hot or cold, NO MESS, this works, and is just about cheaper than anything else except harbor freight wire wheels and grinders

The dustless blaster is not one of the better media blasters, you cant control the amount of water or media. I have the farrow system it works good but still make a mess. as far as using water on bare metal, the water keeps the metal cool unlike dry blasting sheet metal, It warps it. The farrow system also removes under coating and bondo. dry blast will not.when done you spray bare metal with a product called hold tight 102 it will prevent flash rust for 24 hours.

Personally, I couldn't care less about environmental issues. But I did have a car done by a local dustless blasting guy & friend in neighboring Glendale, Az. Did too. Sure enough, we both had some nosy neighbors call & complain. Turns out our local company here uses some sort of biodegradable material that is EPA approved so there was nothing to complain about. It took my friend calling local EPA authorities out to as the Glendale authorities didn't care what the blaster guys told or showed them regarding their equipment & material. My neighbors were simply told to shove it by our County authorities as they were aware of the process & knew it was all legit. My friends shop looked like a scene from "Alice's Restaurant" with guys taking pictures, filming the process & threatening my friend despite being told by EPA everything was legal.
