But my point I guess is I have spoke with many folks (even some Mopar guys)that think Mopar A bodies even those with strokers can not run 11's. I think if this guys combo with much less cam, cubic inches etc can run that fast there is no reason my 64 with the 416 should not run at least in the high 10s. These early darts are pretty low weight cars. Mine is at 2875 as it sits complete

I have done a fair amount of suspension work and the largest issues will be the tires hooking to the track.

I know a lot of guys even with strong 318s running in the 11s :headbang:

So with 4k of stall and a 3.91 with a cam in the 560Int / 580Ex with much better heads and a port matched air gap and 800 avs all in a forged crank 416 with Ross pistons running in the 11:5 ratio I should be running fairly strong I would think.. :happy1:

I did also have those type of fender well headers of this 64 above when I had a 273 and I ran in the mid 13s with 4:10s and a custom low planetary in the 727. I am still running the custom lower low in the trans so it is like having about a 4:30 screw in stead of a 3.91 on launch.

Well I hope next sping to have some time slips posted here.

What are some of you other guys with strokers 408s and 416s running?

I am sure you can get that car moving pretty fast..alot of guys are using the small block strokers and making good power..My car is going in a different direction..63 Dart,Dana 60,4.10 spool, ladder bars,12 point cage(certified)Magnum Force tubular K-member,4 wheel disc brakes..all the factory pans and floors have been removed except for the front pans.. will be building a 543ci Indy Maxx Alum Block with indy 440-1(345cc)CNC"d heads flowing [email protected] will be using a 750-780 roller cam with 5000-5500Convertor,727,trans brake line lock...i am thing with about 850-900hp and the car weighing in at 2600-2800lbs..i should see 8.80-9.00 at 145-155mph.. here are the pics of my progress as the car changed along the way.. good luck.. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8QZOXDNmxcsgq

Well that is very nice :headbang: I do want to do some street driving and make a few car shows. So I think it would run maybe 11s low to mid with 9" wide street tires and hope to get high 10s realistly with slicks.

I think you are going to have one hell of a tire smoking dart. I think you are gonna need wheelie bars on that thing too!

I am still looking over al lthe pics, very impressive billyjay
