Just put a 750 Holley on my 340. While checking for "full throttle" my throttle cable broke at the pedal. Years ago the same thing happened and I installed a ball with a set screw in it. Worked well, until now. I need to just replace the cable. But don't tell me Layson's is the only place to get it!

Thanks

I have a used 1973 Duster 318 2bbl throttle cable on my 66 Valiant 340, works great, even with the high rise M1 intake and 1" carb spacer. I am also using the stock 66 a-body gas pedal setup and Holley 750 carb. I would look on ebay, there should be several in junkyards too.

66340,
Do you think the 73 duster 2 bbl cable work with a Edelbrock performer intake? Would it be to long?
Thanks

You could try it, there should be a little adjustment in how it is mounted on the bracket. If I remember correctly, the 318 cable I used was the same length as the one I pulled out of a 66 Cuda 273 Commando car, I would have used that but it was no good, so I took one from my rusty Duster.

Get a hold of Wildcat Motors in Oregon. Google them you will find it. They will have what ever it is you will ever need.
