i just bought a early A body cable throttle pedal setup. i see how it attaches to the firewall but the problem i'm having is with the pedal. i have a pedal with a tab with a bushed hole in it but the swing-arm looks like it has a roller assembly on it. do i not have the right pedal??? it doesn't seem to work right if i use it without the roller (i.e. with the swing-arm through the hole in the tab) and the tab/bushing piece interferes if the roller is used. so i'm hoping some of you guys with stock v-8 cars can post some pics so i can see what it looks like from the factory and go from there. i think maybe i have a 6-cyl pedal with a v-8 cable/firewall bracket???
thanks!!!!!

You will need a gas pedal from an early a-body V-8 car! I did the same swap, it works great! Sorry I don't have an extra but post that you are looking for one in the "parts wanted" section, I am sure you will find someone who has an extra, I got mine through this site!! Good luck, Keith.

You could always grind off the fitting for the linkage on the back of the 6cyl pedal and stick a flat piece of teflon back there.Basically that's the difference between the two parts.

well i thought about that but it seems like the pedal as a whole is about an inch too short to work that way??

I have a 64 Cuda 273, I will post some pics when I take them. There all cable set up's not mechanical. You were probably looking at the kick down linkage, which is important as well if that is not right your transmission will build up unessasary pressure.
