I always thought the bucket seats in our '65 Valiant Signet convertible and '65 Formula S tilted back just a little too far. Lo and behold, today when beginning to restore the seat tracks I find the buckets are adjustable both for tilt and front/rear. They were set up as follows: all the way back (front/rear) and tilted/inclined all the way back as well. I wonder if those were the factory settings?

Anyone have experience using a different tilt setting/attitude that would be willing to supply photos? Thank you.

Yes the adjustment is a nice thing. Power would be nicer. LOL My 66 Bucket seat car is way more comfortable than my bench seat 70 Swinger.

My seats adjustments for the 65 Barracuda were about in the middle for front and back when I painted and cleaned up the seat bases as far as I can remember, but I did clean them up last year.
I never even thought to take a picture of them.

Nope, just wire brushed them and applied a coat of flat black tremclad. Cleaned them up and put some grease on the sliders. I have them still sitting in the basement until I get the car to the point where I can bolt them in, hopefully within a couple of months.

Nice, I don't remember if my 64 seats were like that, I think I tossed them out 40 years ago.
