I just got my motor running and put a used Edelbrock 1407 750 on it. I am wondering about the accelerator pump, when I open the throttle there is no visable or audible squirt of fuel, it idles good, but wants to bog when I snap the throttle, I am assuming that the accelerator pump is not working. What I am wondering is:
1. does this sound like a bad accelerator pump?
2. Can I just replace the pump without an entire rebuild?
3. If I decide to rebuild the carb does the rebuild kit come with a new accelerator pump?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I'll just ask, your looking at the squirters when you wack open the throttle and see nothing?
Then the accelerator pump isn't working period.
You can replace the pump without rebuilding the carb and the rebuild kit comes with it.
Just set it to specs and you'll be good.
