I'm thinking of just ditching my old Thermoquad in favor of an Edelbrock intake and Performer Carb combo on my 318. What type of results have you guys received from this combination? I am thinking of putting in a Comp Cams XE268H inside while I am doing things to the motor. Good combo? Possible horsepower gains?

t-quads have a pretty good amount of potential if you know how to tweak em. I personally have a Thunder AVS Eddie Carb - The extra money for the adjustable secondaries is WELL worth it if you go to a Eddie carb. HP gains? Depends on how well that Tquad is setup, it could probably outdo the Eddie actually.

I theroy the T-Q should outperform the Edel. carb. Tuning is the key. And it isn't as easy as the corner store for any T-Q part really. I myself would keep the T-Q and such compatable intake.
